How to Save Your Relationship
Experiencing relationship burnout can manifest in various ways, including emotional exhaustion, increased cynicism, a lack of connection, frequent arguments, and diminished intimacy. However, it's important to note that this doesn't necessarily spell the end of the relationship. By identifying the root causes, communicating openly, rekindling the spark through quality time and shared activities, and seeking professional guidance if needed, couples can work towards recovering from burnout and rebuilding a healthier, more fulfilling partnership.

An odd thing: right before the self destruction comes this thought. "What i am about to do is important and necessary. I MUST do it because this is what is best for me." In my head, it's the thundering voice of Truth. Weeks or months later, I look back. Crap. I screwed myself over. Again. Thanks, Dr. Fox, for giving hope and instructions on how to change. ❤

And BPD is not comparable to NPD as they have two separate origins. The issue with psychology is the lack of awareness about physiology, anatomy, or even a basic understanding of the role of emotions in animals that would illuminate the pathology of all human emotions related to ourselves. Emotions were only developed to understand our environment and are temporary phenomena in all other species, and an animal will be relived if it escapes from a predator. Trauma is very easy to assert as the cause of many emotional challenges in humans, but trauma and mental illness is unique to humans because we have language and an entirely malformed fight or flight pathway. Not understanding the sympathetic nervous system both physiological, anatomically, and how it merely stores neurological patterns to reproduce them involuntarily later without any real cognitive processes being involved in this particular system has lead to profound misunderstanding about how mental disorders formed. While the experience of trauma is real, its correlation to later experiences is only the similarities between past and present experiences. NPD is caused by the neurological processes of an infant child being captured by the afferent neurons of the sympathetic nervous system in a child too young to form any meaningful interpretation of the external environment, thus developing a perception of fear of reality itself and invoking a sense of abandonment that is not escapable. This keeps them in persistent sympathetic activation that subordinates all emotions and forms the proverbial “narcissistic injury”. The neurological pattern of the impermanent emotional states of a baby that are reflective emotional responses to caregivers is retained, and the child starts to develop cognitive functions in a world where they lack normal emotional states due to the inhibitions that a fight or flight temporarily evokes in animals in “tunnel vision”. The need for supply is due to the emotional instability and shorter duration that represents the age of the child when they had a severe fear state invoked, and lacking emotional empathy they form patterns of behavior that are emulations based on cause and effect observations. The limited emotional experiences force projection as a means to form the interpretation of others, and narcissistic personality disorder involves a need to induce positive emotions in others and avoid negative emotions as they involuntary experience mirrored emotions. They need to understand the emotional states of others at all times lacking empathy to be in control, and experience profound victimhood due to this vulnerability. The transactional nature of this person is based in the projection of their own motives as the means they use to interpret others. Persistent abandonment anxiety forces the children to attempt to understand how they need to be and act to prevent others from impacting their own emotions, and this causes a need to control others and the development of a subjective perception which they need to become grandiose or victims to avoid injury nor to preserve the experience of reality in which the projected self will be present. Narcissistic injury is an involuntary reflex to any perceived threat that isn’t always the rage that we often see, but its negation or abrupt and often unexpected state changes. People who don’t form this way will experience a period between 2-5 years where they have freedom, creativity, imaginations, and no social anxiety or fear until the first fight or flight response occurs and causes an opposite reaction to what NPD and psychopaths have. Triggers like “not good enough”, “broken”, “something is wrong with me”, “abandoned/alone” “I don’t matter” “confused” “stuck/paralyzed” “failure” “guilt” are the basis of analyzing oneself and are also malformations where the fight or flight captured the emotional states that were created by the fight or flight itself. Any arbitrary event will inevitably result in all triggers and they are universal. The child will have something happen like a parent yelling and if it’s loud enough it will trigger an involuntary reaction and the child will sense the adrenaline for the first time and have a sense of “something is wrong” which is the same reaction all animals have that forces them to wake up and inspect the environment for threats before the full fight or flight can zero in on a specific predator or prey. In humans this reaction leads to a universal sense of “something is wrong with me” where an internal inspection is conducted rather than an investigation of the situation itself. The child invokes a complete dissonance by the same tunnel vision that all animals form when they encounter a predator, but it causes an immediate abandonment and sense of confusion and brokenness due to the stuck and paralyzed feelings that cascade to the full spectrum fear of immediate potential death. As this experience unfolds the sympathetic nervous system captures the neurological activity that is caused by the reaction with the afferent sensory neurons that were involved in capturing the animal experience assigned to a particular predator. This first experience generated a paradox where the human experiences themselves as the threat. The emotional states caused by the reaction are also stored as the trigger for the same reaction, forming a powerful positive feedback loop and generating the subconscious mind that has the cognitive responses to the environment that now is permanently blocked and replaced by recreated emotions of a 5 year old with an abandoned feeling and “not good enough” is the wording of the fear of running in flight. The parents get ensnared into this experience as predators and all children are forced to analyze their experience as a secondary cognitive function to compensate for the inhibitions that block the present moment awareness from being perceived. They all determine that they must be “perfect” to avoid being “not enough” and abandonment anxiety and disappointments are now framed as being equal to the risk of death itself. This is the birth of ego, and the formation of a involuntary reactionary mindset that is the basis of all human behavior and guilt trips, darvo, and self improvement, goals, and the pursuit of a fixed perfect future motivates against the persisting fear of failure and rejection that has dominated mankind and in the basis of all mental health problems: Meditation worked by activation of the parasympathetic nervous system and elimination of the cognitive inhibitions that maintained the subjective experience and revealed a expanded consciousness and new capabilities that have been present for thousands of years in eastern tradition but not even recognized in the philosophical field of psychology.

Plz dont promote that a NPD person is a evil .. He or She is only a sensitive person whos ego easily hurt a lot upon little bit of criticism .. so they try to creat a environment in which no one can hurt their ego .. narcissistic persons do love to their kids and spouse.. they just need a little bit of appreciation and validation from their families and they will behave just like normal person.

I had a friend of ten years who manipulated me and fooled me for much of that time, and I was unaware because we live 1½ hrs. from each other. 99% of our friendship was hours long phone calls several times per month and texting a couple times per week. Her preferred method of narcissistic rage was via text. She wouldn't do it on the phone. I appreciate your content so that I can unpack what happened. It was pretty disorienting every time she had a rage, which was only about 4 times over the course of 7 years. Which is still one too many. 🙏🏻

My Mother stole all my college money l'd saved for years ( and sold my horse) and told me a month into my sophomore year. She fully expected me to crawl home, be the housekeeper and cook again, while she did nothing but critisize and abuse. Nope. I went to work, paid my own books and tuition, roomed with a friend, and graduated. Dad evidently drug her to the graduation, and afterwards, she didn't hug or congratulate me, she just stayed silent-sulking. Dad wanted to go out for dinner, but she flounced off towards the parking lot, squalling how she wanted to go home. NOW!!! 🤣

This is semi informational, but it really does not delve into the emotional effects of a favorite person or partner, when the person with BPD splits on them. to go from ultra feelings of love and admiration to facial expressions and relating to you like you’re evil. So challenging.

Sometimes, its stems from upper management and the executives. There is no one left to talk to because those who have the means to not deals with the drama have left. I’m in that situation right now. As soon as I can find another job to make rent, I may just walk out and not bother giving notice. It’s not like I would ever go back to that hellhole. Don’t forget…Narcissist don’t respect their employees. You’re just an ends to their means and are expendable.

My challenge with BPD and meeting with supervisors is the ambiguity with meetings. I panic about getting fired if the meeting has no scheduled agenda or pre-communicated purpose. It is helpful when supervisors give specific information about what the meeting is about and what they would like out of the meeting, or else I think the worst. I don't know if the meeting is to help or fire me, so I err on the latter, which leads to total combustion.

My parents think i am a narcissist. I tried to communicate something importantto them and they will NOT hear it. They accuse me of attacking them, their defensiveness is award winning. When i kept trying i was branded angry, aggressive, mad, bad, ungrateful. But they are convinced they have done nothing wrong and that they are the victims of me. They do have low self esteem but they dont acknowledge that because everybody else is materialistic, shallow, aggressive, whatever they need them to be. I guess when you're as convinced as they really are that there is ONE perspective, then there is nothing to discuss. So an attempt to talk is seen as aggressive 😢 It is sad. They are unreachable. But they have me, the family spittoon. They can blame me for everything.
